I’m really happy with this whole page, but man, that first panel might be my new favourite thing I’ve ever drawn. And that second panel ain’t bad either.
Once I finally got to this page, I realized I really hadn’t nailed down exactly how I wanted the mutants to look. Most of them are just okay, but those first two mutants turned out just right.
I also decided to use ‘pink goo’ instead of red blood, see if it would help tone things down. It, uh, it did not…
