I started re-reading my old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures comics from Archie Comics and fell in love with Ken Mitchroney’s art all over again. I was really impressed with the movement in his art, particularly with his use of speed/action lines.
I drew the panels on this page out of sequence, and Ken’s art influenced how I drew the second panel. I wanted that panel to pop more than how the third panel turned out, so I tilted the shot, used a bunch of speed lines, and even added those little action explosions at the bottom. Way more cartoony than normal for me, but I really like how it turned out.
